Koh Phangan picture gallery
Koh Phangan is a tropical island set in the Gulf of Thailand that is famous for its hedonistic Full Moon Party. The island is a backpacker mecca second only to Bangkok’s Khao San Road, and offers a mix of watersports, holistic retreats and brilliant white beaches. Our Koh Phangan pictures capture the nightlife of the island as well of the underwater attractions of nearby Ang Thong Marine National Park.
Our selection of Koh Phangan photos include every activity on the island from snorkelling to kitesurfing and simply letting one’s hair down. Keen photographers will be in their element in the Thai Gulf backpacker bars of Haad Rin full of bohemian characters as well as gorgeous viewpoints and deserted beaches.
We at 1Stop have made every possible effort to put together a varied selection of Koh Phangan pictures which shows off this region of Thailand in all its natural glory. Must-see attractions as well as fun family daytrips and excursions are featured as well as plenty of colourful local scenes.

Notes on taking pictures in Koh Phangan
This popular holiday resort has a bevy of photography stores to cater for the tourist masses, especially on popular White Beach. There are even specialist stores where visitors can download their Koh Phangan pictures onto a pen drive or stock up on a new battery or memory card. Tourists here can even buy cameras and accessories on the island, although the choice is certainly better on nearby Koh Samui.
Be careful not to offend local people who live on the island when taking pictures in Koh Phangan, and be especially careful if taking pics of working girls working plying their trade in the beer bars around the island. Although Thais are extremely friendly people, it is only polite to ask permission first before snapping merrily away.
Koh Phangan pictures will make an enduring souvenir of your visit to the Gulf of Thailand and there is a plethora of great subjects to capture on film (or memory card), so remember to take your camera all around and snap away to your heart's desire. There are superb Koh Phangan pictures in every cove of the island with colourful aquatic life in Ang Thong Marine National Park, friendly locals and great viewpoints from the jungle interior.
Safety is no major concern in Koh Phangan but leaving expensive photographic equipment loose in your bungalow is to be avoided as this can be a temptation too far for opportunistic thieves. In general, however, visitors that are sensible with their belongings will not have to be on their guard when taking Koh Phangan pictures.
